The Dam-Reservoir Working Group OPIRG-Carleton, 326 Unicentre, Carleton University Ottawa, ON K1S 5B6 CANADA DRWG strives to act as a clearinghouse of accurate and up-to-date scientific, political, economic and other information on the real verified & demonstrable impacts of reservoirs, whether for hydroelectric, irrigation, or flood control. DRWG has been active in this area since 1991, growing from the James Bay Working Group to the Hudson Bay Working Group, to its present incarnation, when it became apparant that these projects pose a real and growing threat to the world's ecosystems, wildlife (especially fish), aboriginal and subsistance cultures, and to global local economies.
